In this Love Triangle God is the head. Both the husband and the wife love Him and He greatly loves them as individuals (John 16:27; Revelation 1:6; John 3:16; 2 Thess 2:16;
1 John 4:10). The husband and wife have become one flesh and love
each other (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:25; Titus 2:4; Colossians 3:19) .
Individually, each loves God, but because they are one flesh they love
God together. God loves each individually, but because. they are now one
flesh, He loves them both as one. And when a marriage follows this
pattern it is a beautiful testimony to God’s wisdom and to His love for
us. Love, commitment, partnership.
That’s how it’s supposed to be.
