Fire guts PM News Lagos office

The head office of Independent Communication Network Limited, publishers of The News Magazine and P.M. News, was yesterday gutted by fire.

The entire last floor of the three-story building situated on Acme Road, Ogba, Ikeja was razed down, while the second floor was partly destroyed. No one was injured in the inferno but equipments worth millions of Naira were destroyed. The fire was caused by power surge.

President Goodluck Jonathan’s Younger Brother dies on his Birthday at Aso Rock Clinic

The half brother of president Goodluck Jonathan has died. Meni Jonathan died today November 20th the president's birthday at the State House clinic in Abuja.

Meni, who was said to be in his late 40s, was flown in from Bayelsa last week to receive treatment at the Aso Rock Clinic for an undisclosed ailment he had been battling with for a few months now.

Meni, until his death was the chairman traditional council of chiefs  in Otuoke community of Bayelsa State. The president is yet to officially react to his brother's death.

Such sad news befalling the President’s family on what was supposed to be a joyous day. May his soul Rest In Peace.

Former Ikeja council Chairman, Toyin Hamzat, assasinated

Former chairman of Ikeja LGA and and special adviser in the Lagos Ministry of Health, Toyin Hamzat, was shot dead around 9 last night along the Sagamu Expressway, Ogun State while returning from his home in Aiyepe in Ogun State.

The police believe it was an assassination and not robbery because the gunmen didn't take anything from the scene of the incident. Five men have so far been arrested in connection with the murder.

Nollywood Actor Pete Eneh is Dead

Pete Eneh has passed on. He died around 4 this evening at Parklane Hospital, Enugu where he had been receiving treatment for over four months for a leg infection. The actor had one of his legs amputated on the 24th of October at the hospital due to serious infection he got after sustaining an injury that refused to heal because of his diabetic condition. He will be missed. May his gentle soul rest in peace, Amen!
